Dr. Julie Breher DVM MPVM
Veterinarian / Owner

A San Diego native, she attended The Bishop’s School before heading off to UC DAVIS where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees along with her doctorate of veterinary medicine. She has been practicing veterinary medicine for 20 years. She joined La Jolla Veterinary Hospital in 2009. She enjoys hiking the canyons around her home in University City, traveling and spending time with her husband, son and their chocolate labrador, Clyde.

Dr. Marilyn Seals DVM

Dr. Seals has been with La Jolla Veterinary Hospital for over 30 years! She is a huge San Diego Padres fan, loves to travel and attend the theater with her friends, and has been a part of The La Jolla Sunrise Rotary Club for many years. She owned La Jolla Veterinary Hospital before selling it to Dr. Julie Breher in 2010. She has twin sons, 7 grand children that adore her and a miniature dachshund named “Pixel.”

Dr. Carrie Bone DVM

A San Diego native, she attended The Bishop’s School and graduated from the University of California at Davis with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She prioritizes keeping current with the latest theories and techniques in her field and particularly enjoys researching difficult and challenging cases. Dr. Bone shares her home in North County with her husband, her daughter, and her terrier-mutt named “Larry Bird.” Her time away from work is spent hanging out with her family, enjoying the San Diego waves, and trying to catch as many live music shows as possible.

Dr. Lidja Gillmeister DVM

Dr. Gillmeister graduated from Virginia Maryland College of veterinary medicine in 2008. She moved to San Diego in 2008 to pursue an internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital and she has been with La Jolla Veterinary Hospital since 2011. While away from work, she enjoys gardening with her husband at their Poway home and has a special interest in fruit trees. Dr. Gillmeister and her husband share their home with a very special viszla named “Clark” and a kitty named “Flounder.”

Dr. Arash Sarlati DVM

Dr. Sarlati graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine after his passion for rescue animals led to his departure from a successful career in economics to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian. He has a special interest in animal behavior and in his spare time he works with pit bull rescue groups. He is an avid Green Bay Packers Fan and has a rescue dog named Arthur that he loves dearly. His addition to our team has enabled La Jolla Veterinary Hospital to become the first, night-time veterinary practice in La Jolla.

Stephanie Coolidge
Hospital Director

Stephanie has been with La Jolla Veterinary Hospital since 2006. She attended culinary art school and still spends as much free time as possible, cooking. She surprisingly found her calling at La Jolla Veterinary Hospital when she discovered a passion for applying her background in hospitality to the veterinary field. She loves people just as much as animals and cares desperately about our client’s happiness and their experience at our practice. Her partner and their daughter have two rescue dogs named “Broccoli” and “Piggie.” She is also very involved in the non-profit animal industry and enjoys fostering kittens for local rescue groups.
